Before you make your choice, we help you answer some fundamental questions about the colour of the timber you're after.
For example:
Q - What if I want a timber with uniform colour?
A - For uniform colours, particular species are used.
Q - Does the timber colour vary in the tree?
A - The larger the tree, the deeper the colour. Also, timber from
closer to the bark will be lighter than timber from the centre of
the tree.
Q - Can I rely on the name of the tree for its colour?
A - The name of the species doesn't necessarily reflect the colour,
eg. Grey Ironbark refers to the colour of the bark - the wood itself
varies and includes shades of creams through to reds.
