At Ironwood Australia, we like
to stress the individuality of timber. As a rule of nature, no two timbers are
alike. Unlike factory-made materials and artificial flooring alternatives, each
natural timber tells its own life story.
During the 60-odd years it takes a
hardwood to mature, each tree develops a one-of-a-kind grain, pattern and
texture. It's as unique as the human fingerprint, and it's entirely defined by
a mixture of chance and the elements. Factors that come to bear are soil and
weather conditions; and in the case of knots, the random stage at which the
tree shed one of its limbs.
The uniqueness of a piece of timber
is what makes it special. While nature defines a timber's individuality, it's
our job to respect yours - through customised solutions.
If it's flooring you require, we can
mill it to your exact specifications. While we specialise in wide flooring, we
also offer timber floorboards from 80 to 270mm in width.
We can also mill decking to your
individual needs, with widths ranging from 40 to 175mm.
Stairwell material too, can be milled
and turned to meet your requirements.
Exposed beams are available,
wire-brushed, dressed all round, or just as is, ranging in size from 150 x 150
mm to 340 x 340 mm.
We mill recycled or plantation timber
weatherboard to client specifications.
Benchtop slabs are available in a
wide variety of species, colours, lengths, widths and thicknesses.
We try to be as flexible as possible.
Because like our timber, no two individuals are alike.
