We are also able to source and supply a wide and varied range of recycled structural (i.e. load bearing) timbers that can be used in construction or simply to provide a certain look.
Our recycled hardwood timber beams and joists have typically been sourced from wool stores, old grand homes, wharves, bridges and warehouses. Because these beams have been sourced from old growth timbers many many decades ago and have thus been air dried and are not susceptible to expansion or contraction as new or green timber would be. Thus, recycled structural timbers, beams and joists are a far higher level of structural integrity.
These recycled hardwood timber beams and joists are typically made from red or grey ironbark, spotted gum as well as a proportion derived from tallowood and blackbutt.
These beams can be milled to virtually any dimensions, but typically we mill 300mm x 100mm, 250mm x 100mm, 200mm x 200mm, 100mm x 100mm, 200mm x 50mm (a typical dimension of joists) and can be milled to lengths of over 11 metres.
